Tell us about yourself!

I am here for the community I am currently on the Board of South Care delivering food bank 6 days a week to our Community. I volunteer as an interviewer at a local food bank to assist with all our clients needs.I also am on the board of several sporting clubs. My heart is in helping the community . The only true independent . A voice of the people without fear or favour.

2. Are you a member of a political party, or are you endorsed or affiliated with a political party?

3. What do you see as the key issues facing Frankston City?

People needing assistance day to day, with the cost of living leading to people needing assistance now. The safety of our community. Current expenditure of council needs to be more community focused and transparent, including council worker’s salaries

4. What skills and experience will you bring to your role if elected to Frankston City Council?

I have had the benefit of mentoring in my life and would like to pass this on. Being in senior management of global companies, I am sure I can assist with efficiencies and improve with a better community focus.

5. The Frankston Metropolitan Activity Centre (FMAC) is a significant framework developed by the previous Frankston City council. Do you support the FMAC, and, what would you do to help attract further private and public investment into Frankston’s city centre?

Fundamentally I agree with what the previous council were trying to create. We need to get back to basics to assist our current community whilst spreading our best kept secret. How good is Frankston. A hidden gem, we are ready to shine.

6. What do you believe local government can do to help retain jobs in Frankston City, attract new businesses to establish themselves in Frankston, and ensure residents have jobs close to where they live?

We need to bring our community back to our beautiful city. Safety is a paramount factor in ensuring our community want to enjoy our CBD . Help our start up businesses with publicity and events to grow awareness of our city.

7. What role do you believe local government can play to help Frankston City reach the Victorian Government’s ambitious housing targets of 36,000 new dwellings by 2050?

Make sure the housing is in the best interest of all.

8. Why should ratepayers vote for you?

I am here for the community. I volunteer 7 days a week to help our community. Personally, I am annoyed at how high our rates are. We need to stop our rates being a cash cow. My husband cannot retire as we will not be able to afford them if he does. I am sure many people are the same. Stop spending , investigate current wages and stop funding sculptures when our community is struggling.

9. If you are elected, what would you like your legacy to be at the end of your four year term?

Making a difference in our communities lives. Caring and sharing with each other to make all of our lives easier.

10. How important to you is the relationship between Frankston City and the Committee for Frankston & Mornington Peninsula? What would you do as a councilor to maintain and improve that relationship?

It is very important to have a good relationship with all committees that are here to make our community a better place to live and visit. Monthly meetings with this committee as well as others are vital to our future. I feel a councillor should give 100% ,and not have a full time job or other commitments.

To finish, do you have any additional comments?

I am the only true independent for Pines Ward and will be the voice of the community without fear or favour. I will and am in the community making a difference, every day.
