I am a member of the Australian Greens, and have run in the previous Federal Dunkley 2019 and State Frankston 2022 elections.

-We need to protect Frankston’s green wedge while also encouraging sustainable and eco-friendly housing options. With around 20,000 new residents expected by 2040, it’s important to make sure we’re taking care of our green spaces and meeting housing needs at the same time. - Another key issue facing Frankston and Seaford is the health of Kananook Creek. We should invest in a new oxygenation system to tackle this problem. Many locals have observed ongoing algae blooms that harm native species due to stagnant water. Improving the creek’s ecosystem is essential for both our environment and the well-being of Frankston. - The decline in volunteer engagement. After seeing a 64% drop from 2019 to 2022, we really need to find ways to reinvigorate our volunteers and get them back involved in the community. Encouraging more people to participate can strengthen our local programs and foster a stronger sense of community. -Finally, we need added accessibility at Kananook and Seaford Station. This would include a hearing loop, independent boarding and connective elevator. As our population grows, so does the need for sustainable transportation options.

If elected to Frankston City Council, I’ll bring empathy and a strong focus on our diverse community. With experience working across various political views, I aim to foster open dialogue through regular forums and consultations. By prioritising collaboration, I’ll ensure everyone’s voice is heard and help strengthen local governance both in and out of the chambers.

Generally, I am in support of the FMAC structure, and I'm not against sensible development. Frankston is growing, as most of us know, we have a housing quota to meet. I will say, I have questioned various parts of the structure (Precinct 4) such as the 12 story preferenced height limit, the potential 6 story height limit in residential areas, and building high rises next to a natural resource, the Kananook Creek. But, with consultation now over and FMAC approved, our focus now should be making sure these structures meet the Environmental Sustainable Design requirements, have proper and thorough waste management plans and consider storm water impacts. If elected I'm happy to consitently consult with other councillors, officers, citizens and investors on how to make FMAC a success, considering of course the environment, Frankston's culture, our diere housing needs and community consultation.

Frankston City Council can help keep jobs and attract new businesses by investing in sustainable infrastructure and supporting local entrepreneurs with grants and mentorship. Focusing on green jobs and mixed-use developments will create job opportunities close to home, building a lively and resilient local economy for all.

Local government can help Frankston hit the Victorian housing targets by making planning easier and encouraging sustainable development. By working with the community and promoting affordable housing options, plus securing funds for infrastructure improvements, we can create a smart approach that will boost Frankston's housing options for newcomers and lifelong locals alike.

A rate payer may choose to vote for me as I offer direct democracy to the resident. I am approachable and ready to serve the community with the right to consultation. I understand the various situations a rate payer may go through, and I can be trusted to contribute to budgeting Frankston equitably and responsibly.

I want Frankston to take pride in a council that collaborates effectively to reach resolutions everyone can resonate with. Too often, our council has struggled with poor relations and negative perceptions around local governance. I aim to be a representative who genuinely enjoys working with the community, dedicating my free time to address local issues. I want to be a visible presence that the community knows will step up, not a shadow that goes unnoticed.

I will consistently attend meetings and consultations, bringing my expertise to the table. I’m committed to collaborating with people across all parties and affiliations. I’ll focus not only on what I can achieve locally for Frankston but also on how all levels of government can engage in meaningful projects that benefit our community.
