Ensuring the safety and security of residents and businesses. Seeking State and Federal funding for infrastructure to manage growth, with particular focus on housing, health, education, transport, and small - medium businesses in the region. Increasing efforts to address the iniquity of spend on our region by the State Government. Providing support for businesses, particularly tourism, to rebuild, refresh and grow in a complex economy. Ensuring sensible urban planning which focuses on long term sustainability and enjoyment.

A deep understanding of family needs developed by balancing work and raising 3 children on my own, looking after my grandmother in care, and supporting my extended family. • Thirty plus years of business leadership roles in small to medium business, leading teams of up to 150 staff. I’ve developed excellent listening skills and am used to developing resolutions that work for large numbers of people (and 3 arguing teenagers too!) • A strong understanding of government operations, and process. • A deep appreciation of many cultures through extensive travel and global business dealings. I also come from an immigrant family that arrived with 3 children, 50 pounds and one suitcase in the 1950s.

I do support the FMAC. Businesses are attracted by the local audience and environment, as well as council support and ease of doing business. I would encourage advertising the plans for the FMAC to attract developers for business and homes, and new residents as well as visitors. I would suggest competitions to raise awareness of the plan, where a business may be selected for fast tracked planning and cash prizes for use with start-up. (This has the added benefit of making businesses focus on how they could do well in our City). I would encourage council to simplify the planning process and strongly manage entry costs, to provide sponsorship programs for desirable businesses where they can amortise council start up costs over extended periods. I would work with the various small business associations to look at how we may attract more businesses to our area, drawing feedback from their members on initiatives. I have many more ideas, but I'm conscious of not becoming too complex on this forum!!

Negotiate strongly with State and Federal Governments to improve the infrastructure they are responsible for. Applying the initiatives outlined above! Increasing the feeling of safety in all areas. Ensuring council puts priority on buying locally. Improving the planning process and providing fast turnaround for approvals.

Streamline the planning process and reduce the time taken for approvals. Attract developers by being easy to deal with, rational, consistent and sensible in our approach. Pre-design development areas and approach developers to take on projects with preapproved conditions.

Aside from my business credentials, I am an honest person with a deep commitment to my community and country. I will listen to my constituents and represent them without bias, in council. I will be accessible and transparent. I will strive for the best possible use of rate payer funds, always seeking to reduce their costs and optimise outcomes. I will became a strong voice negotiating with State and Federal Parliaments, leveraging my existing knowledge of these networks, to ensure Frankston City receives our 'fair share' of funding and development projects. I am committed to helping us progress into a exciting, vibrant and positive future.

Increasing the voice of ratepayers in council. Reducing costs and providing better outcomes for ratepayers. Strong progression with the Frankston Metropolitan Activity Centre Structure Plan. A reputation for being the place to be in Victoria for business and lifestyle. An improved planning process and marketing plan.

I believe this is a critical relationship. I'd be happy to be council's representative on the Committee. I believe my business background would be invaluable in understanding and communicating the existing and future needs of local businesses. Lisa Stark, as a first generation Australian, I was raised to have a great love for Australia and to appreciate the benefits we enjoy. It has always been my intention to give back to my community when time permitted. As a single mother of three children (and three fur babies) and a business leader, that wasn’t possible previously, but I’m now working casually as a consultant and my children are adults. I have the time to invest and I’m passionate about making things better through careful planning, facilities for constituents and business support. I’m also a member of the Kananook Creek Association as I believe in maintaining these environments for future generations. With considerable experience leading small and medium businesses, I have a lot to offer the community vision and plan and will ensure ensure funds are spent with the best outcomes for ratepayers. Councillors are the final voice of their communities on major initiatives. I’d like to be the voice that you can count on to reflect community views, values and priorities, ensuring council is focused on the people they serve, while strongly managing costs in these tough times.
