Tell us about yourself!

I live and work on the peninsula and have never run for public office. I'm a small business operator as a BAS agent and bookkeeper which looks after business bookkeeping, payroll and activity statements among other roles. I'm not afraid to question topics as they arise. I have a strong ethics and believe in justice for all.

2. Are you a member of a political party, or are you endorsed or affiliated with a political party?

No, I not a member of any political party and haven't run for election in any level of government.

3. What do you see as the key issues facing the Mornington Peninsula Shire?

To protect the our local beaches, help stop beach erosion and the lack of rubbish collection along the foreshore, with rubbish being washed into the bay. To protect our Green Wedge, our biodiversity and ensure the peninsula isn't overdeveloped.

4. What skills and experience will you bring to your role if elected to Mornington Peninsula Shire Council?

I'm a local resident and bookkeeper with a strong sense of ethics I look after many small businesses and have learnt to listen to my client's needs and wants. I have a keen eye for detail and have the ability to scrutinise and question any proposal that come forward for consideration.

5. Do you support the re-zoning of surplus Port-zoned SUZ-1 land to industrial and residential, to assist in keeping high-tech manufacturing jobs on the Mornington Peninsula and provide long-term strategic planning to the housing crisis in our region?

I'm unsure, but it would need to consider our community needs and not compromise the environment.

6. What role do you believe local government can play to help Mornington Peninsula Shire Council reach the Victorian Government’s ambitious housing targets of 31,000 new dwellings by 2050?

The Green Wedge would need to come into consideration, along with transport and other community services. This would need a great deal of community consolation if this was to happen.

7. Do you support efforts to redevelop Rosebud Hospital? What tangible role can local government play in advocating for funding for this project?

Yes this is something the council should support.

8. Why should ratepayers vote for you?

I love living on the peninsula and would love to see a inclusive community that listens, embraces everyone. I have a open mind and always happy to listen to all points of view.

9. If you are elected, what would you like your legacy to be at the end of your four year term?

To help make the peninsula a better place to live and extra community services.

10. How important to you is the relationship between Mornington Peninsula Shire and the Committee for Frankston & Mornington Peninsula? What would you do as a councilor to maintain and improve that relationship?

To maintain open and free dialogue.
