CFMP meet with Shadow Federal Treasurer Tim Wilson

Committee for Frankston & Mornington Peninsula members were provided a briefing and casual Q&A session with Shadow Federal Treasurer, Tim Wilson, and Federal Member for Flinders, Zoe McKenzie - on Friday, 23 October 2026 in Dromana. 

There were many federal issues and federal economic policies that were raised, including: 

• The Federal Budget 26/27
• Capital Gains Tax changes on start ups
• Family Trust changes
• Inflation and Interest Rates
• The right for small businesses to be paid within 30 days
• Economic impacts on aged care services
• Over-regulation in numerous industries, impacting the ability of businesses to grow
• Taxation stifling growth opportunities 
• Building regulations leading to little investment in housing
