CFMP's Future Forum - 2024

The Committee’s Future Forum will be held on Tuesday, 16 April 2024 at the Frankston Football Club.

This event will be facilitated by ABC Melbourne Journalist Bridget Rollason, and the keynote speaker is Simon Kuestenmacher from the Demographics Group in Melbourne.

The industry-led panel conversation will feature:

  • Felicity Topp - CEO @ Peninsula Health
  • Matt McDonald - CEO @ SeaRoad Ferries
  • Craig Mitchell - CEO @ Peninsula Hot Springs
  • Karen Lau - Manager Strategy & Stakeholder @ South East Water
  • David Baker - Principal @ Woodleigh School

The government panel conversation will feature:

  • The Hon. Sonya Kilkenny MP - Minister for Planning & Member for Carrum
  • Zoe McKenzie MP - Federal Member for Flinders
  • Simon Brooks - Mayor @ Mornington Peninsula Shire Council

This forum will provide members with an opportunity to discuss and address the changing face of Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula, and analyse the challenges and opportunities we face over the next few decades in our region.

Changes to the way we work, live and play in our region mean we need to cater for future growth across a number of areas, and it is vital our region is set up to do that as best as it possibly can. Decentralisation away from Melbourne CBD and the lifestyle pull that the Peninsula provides is attracting more visitors, businesses and permanent residents to our communities.

At this forum, attendees will hear from  Committee members, industry leaders, government, and community leaders about how we attract public and private investment into our region, take advantage of opportunities presented to us, and ensure change is sustainable and in the interests of Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula. It will also form the basis of our strategic plan for the next three years.
