Members Forum with Peta Murphy MP

Members joined the Federal Member for Dunkley, Peta Murphy, for a forum and Q&A at McClelland Sculpture Park & Gallery in Langwarrin today.

Attendees came from numerous industries and various parts of Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.

The discussion included:

  • Frankston as a lifestyle capital and a great place to live, work and invest
  • More accommodation is necessary for our region in order to meet job demands
  • A health and education precinct that should be the envy of Melbourne right here in Frankston
  • Better connectivity and public transport options in Frankston and down and across the Mornington Peninsula
  • The need for better pathways from TAFE to career pathways within the region
  • Embracing our renewable energy future and offshore wind assembly right here in Hastings
  • The Committee being able to play a social role in our community as well as an economic and investment one.

The Committee would like to thank Peta for being so generous with her time and answering questions from our members.

We look forward to collaborating with Peta and the Federal Government in 2024, as well as our local Members of Parliament across the Peninsula.
