Push for regionalisation of Mornington Peninsula

Thank you to all of you who have read our media release, contacted local MPs and contacted us to show support for our push for Mornington Peninsula to be designated as regional.

Our media release has generated significant interest.

We have been contacted by ABC Radio, The Herald Sun and The Australian and Greg Hunt's office (thanks Greg).

As a community we must band together and get behind this issue.

There are so many benefits to the Mornington Peninsula being designated as regional.

One being that we wouldn't be in lockdown for the next six weeks and beyond.

Just today the Prime Minister annouced special visas for Hong Kong residents to come to regional Australia to fill skill shortages . We won't have access to this program because we are considered metropolitian Melbourne.

We understand from members that being Metro impacts them on a business, personal and health level in relation to support provided, services and other opportunities available to them.

We welcome you to get involved in supporting our advocacy and research into the Mornington Peninsula becoming a region. ⬇️
