Statement on Dunkley By-election

The Committee for Frankston & Mornington Peninsula congratulates Jodie Belyea - the new Federal Member for Dunkley - after Labor's victory in Saturday's by-election.

Jodie has a long and positive association with the Committee through her membership of not-for-profit organisation The Women's Spirit Project. We look forward to working collaboratively with her and the Federal Government to help deliver better outcomes for Frankston city and surrounding suburbs.

The Committee would also like to acknowledge the campaign of Liberal Candidate and Frankston Mayor Nathan Conroy. We wish him well in his future local endeavours including the opportunity to continue to work with him at a local government level.

Quotes attributable to Josh Sinclair - CEO Committee for Frankston & Mornington Peninsula:

"We look forward to working with Jodie and the Federal Labor Government in working towards delivering positive outcomes for Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula."

"Dunkley is now one of the nation's most marginal seats and a part of the country both sides of politics must continue to invest and support in."
