BIO

Hello, some of you may know me through the volunteer groups I belong to and the positions I have and still hold within local community groups. For example, currently I Chair the Rye Community Group Alliance a group that has been successful in lobbying for infrastructure funding for Rye and for getting all-abilities picnic furniture on the foreshore areas. I have a good track record as a community advocate.

I am standing because I feel privileged to live in this beautiful  part of the world and I want to ensure our natural environment and coastal lifestyle are protected. I believe as a Councillor I will be an even more effective advocate as I will be in the position to influence Council decision making.

My key areas of focus are strategic planning and policy development as those areas relate to business and community services, the built and natural environment and social justice/equity.

COVID is presenting us with some enormous challenges not least of all the current and expected demand on Council resources. We are going to need a Council that can work effectively as a team but also be flexible and think laterally about revenue generation and community and business support. The Nepean Ward is going to need a strong advocate and negotiator to ensure it receives its share of infrastructure and service resources.
