Have Your Say - Advocacy Goals

The Committee for Frankston & Mornington Peninsula is developing its advocacy goals which it will take to decision-makers. We want to develop these in conjunction with our members - businesses, not-for-profit, organisations and local government here in Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.

Your feedback and suggestions around our advocacy is invaluable to the work we do in advocating to make our region a great place to live, work, and invest.

Please complete the advocacy survey below to provide feedback directly to the Committee about what advocacy goals should make up our core policy framework.

1. Infrastructure & Connectivity: How would you rate ease of access to public transport and connectivity around Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula? What can be done to improve this?
2. Economic Prosperity & Land for livelihoods: In your view, what can be done by all levels of government to encourage more jobs in our region, more dwellings, and better use of land to ensure that people can live and work on the Peninsula?
3. Health, Education, Inclusion and Accessibility: In your view, what are the biggest hinderances to access to health and education opportunities in Frankston and on the Mornington Peninsula? Is a redeveloped Rosebud Hospital a priority for you? And in what ways can government support better active transport options in our region?
4. A Nationally Significant Western Port: If the Government is investing in off-shore wind assembly at the Port of Hastings, what sort of infrastructure projects do you believe governments should be further funding in Western Port? What sorts of industry would you like to see operating in and around Hastings?
5. Engaged Community & Governance? Would you like to see the Government be more flexible when it comes to the classification of the Mornington Peninsula as metropolitan Melbourne? How important is it to you that Ministers and Shadow Ministers visit our region to understand local issues?
6.  Arts, Culture, Tourism and Sport: How important to you is a proposed conference centre in Frankston? What issues do you believe are facing the tourism industry in our region and how can we better address them? Should Frankston improve the status of its premier Football stadium to host more key matches? In your view, how important are the Arts to our region?
